Luga-flow rapper Da Agent has shed light on why collaborations have been noticeably rare throughout his music career, pointing to what he describes as pride among fellow musicians.
Speaking during an appearance on Galaxy TV’s Rewind show, Da Agent revealed that his decision not to actively pursue collaborations is not due to a lack of interest, but rather the attitude he has encountered within the industry.
“Musicians are too proud. I would love to work with other musicians,” he explained. “Personally, I am easy-going and easy to approach, but other musicians are too proud in one way or another, and that is why I do not reach out to them.”
The rapper emphasized that he prefers to focus on his own craft instead of navigating what he perceives as difficult personalities. According to him, this has ultimately limited opportunities for joint projects, despite his willingness to collaborate.
Da Agent’s remarks highlight an ongoing conversation within the music industry about the role of ego and relationships in shaping creative partnerships. While collaborations are often seen as a way to expand reach and blend different styles, his experience suggests that personal dynamics can sometimes stand in the way.
For now, the rapper says he remains committed to doing his own thing, even if it means fewer collaborations on his catalog.
